Female Leadership

Kanchana Moodliar.png

Kanchana Moodliar is a visionary entrepreneur with over 2 decades of experience. She has built a reputation as a skilled global strategist, business humanizer and conscious innovator.

Her leadership and visio earned her recognition as a Mail and Guardian Top 200 Young South African and many other awards, early on in her career. For over 8 years, she worked across the globe on brands and business making a positive impact in the lives of the people they serve. Kanchana has been instrumental in positioning for growth over 150 brands during her career as a Business Humanizer at Innate Motion,
where she started the African business for the European based company.

In 2019 using all her years of expertise in events, marketing, strategy and building purpose brands, she founded Africa’s biggest and boldest beauty festival, Beauty Revolution. This was a narrative shifting moment for the beauty industry. It was time for brands to listen to beauty fans and create inclusive products and advertising where all shapes and shades feel welcome. This narrative is now what we see big brands and
retailers embracing.

She took a 2 year sabbatical to consciously create the next chapter. Nova Ideation, a Sustainable Tech Hub working at the intersection of humanity and technology, was born. Here she and her team will bring together established innovators from across Africa who have created new business models, innovative technology and collaborative ways of working to solve some of Africa’s biggest problems. African
solution for African problems.

Kanchana is a certified yoga instructor, avid meditator and has a deep love for discussions on wellbeing, philosophy and the existential questions humans are pondering.
